In the regulations below you will find the most important house rules that apply within Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam-Amstel.

 

We ask you to respect and accept these rules.

 

General rules

 

  • All instructions from employees of this hotel, related to house rules, must be followed. Complaints can be reported to the management.
  • Stay calm in case of fire. Report fire to reception and/or punch the nearest fire alarm.
  • In the event of a general fire alarm, leave the premises immediately.
  • In case of fire, do not use the lifts under any circumstances.
  • Valid identification must be shown at check-in. Check-in is possible from the age of 18.
  • There are cameras in various places within the hotel; everyone who is in our hotel consents to recordings being made. In case of calamities and/or incidents, these recordings can be shown to the authorities as supporting material.
  • Lost property should be handed in at reception.
  • Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam-Amstel is not responsible for loss or theft of your belongings.
  • Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam-Amstel does not make its location available for purposes other than those set out in our policy, it is therefore forbidden to trade goods, heal or offer services. The amount of a room already paid for will not be refunded.
  • The management, the owner of this venue and/or persons working for the hotel cannot be held liable for any injury and/or material or immaterial damage, which visitors may suffer at the venue.

 

It is forbidden to

 

  • Emergency exits to be used as (normal) entrances and exits
  • Taking hotel property outside the building. Deliberate damage to Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam-Amstel property may result in liability for repair and/or renewal costs.
  • Consuming, using, trafficking or carrying narcotics. In case of detection, police and justice will be called in.
  • Use nitrous oxide in the hotel without express permission from management.
  • Causing a nuisance to another person through loud music, obnoxious behaviour or noise of any kind.
  • Staying in the room with more people than the number of beds in the room.
  • The paid hosting of guests in the room for the purpose of sexual activities.
  • Smoking in the room. If we find that people do smoke in the room, we will be obliged to charge a cleaning fee of €250. If the fire alarm goes off due to smoking in the room, the fire brigade's call-out fee of €275 will be charged to you.

 

In all cases not covered by these regulations, the management of Van der Valk hotel Amsterdam-Amstel will decide. If these rules are not complied with, the police and judicial authorities may be called in and you may be requested to leave the premises immediately. The hotel has the right to terminate the reservation with immediate effect, without refund of the reservation amount paid.
